CONFETTI

Robinhood Chain · id 4663 · $FETTI

They turned the confetti off. This chain turns it back on.

In March 2021, after criticism that the animation gamified investing, Robinhood removed the confetti that fired when you placed a trade. CONFETTI is a token whose entire product is the animation. Every buy fires it — on your screen, and on the screen of everyone else watching the tape.

This button fires the animation on demand. On a real $FETTI buy it fires by itself, for every viewer on the page at once.

Bigger buys get bigger bursts. None of that lives in the contract — it is the front end reading the chain.

The Tape

every buy, in the open

One public screen. Every buy lands here with a burst sized to it, and stays up for whoever opens the page next. The tape is the reason to leave the tab open — and the thing worth clipping.

$FETTI is live on Robinhood Chain. These are real buys.

How it works

three parts, no moving ones

01

A plain token

Unmodified OpenZeppelin ERC-20. 1,000,000,000 supply, minted once at deploy. No owner, no mint, nothing anyone can switch off later.

02

A page that watches it

The site reads swap events straight from the pool. It holds no keys, takes no cut, and cannot change what the token does.

03

The animation, back

Each confirmed buy fires a burst scaled to its size, for everyone on the page at that moment. That is the whole product.

Functions that do not exist

  • owner() / transferOwnership — renounced at deploy; there is no privileged address
  • pause() — no one can stop transfers, including me
  • blacklist() / setFee() — no address can be singled out, no tax switched on later
  • mint() — supply is fixed at block zero
  • vesting / lockups — no wallet is ever restricted from selling

Order of operations

live

The tape went up before the token did, running on somebody else's market, so the page was already worth watching on the day $FETTI landed.

Phase 01

Run the tape before there was anything to buyThe page worked without a token of its own, riding an existing Robinhood Chain market so people could watch live buys pop.
